ALL VEHICLE CARRYING CAPACITIES

This Policy is to provide a guide on the load carrying capacity of ALL vehicles in the fleet and is to be updated and maintained as changes are made to vehicles, or vehicles are added or removed from the fleet.

The layout of each entry is:

Registration - Make - Model - Body - (Normal Run - License Required)

Location of any bin or pallet storage.

Number of bins can carry.

Any special attachments the vehicle has.

Any extra bins the vehicle can carry for short distance.

Current Vehicles:

1EP6YH VOLVO FL250 COMPACTOR (GW/CM Truck – MR License)

• Has a tray between the cab and compactor body
• Can carry at least 3 x 240ltr bin floor spaces wide and at least 2 x 240ltr bin floor spaces deep and at least 10 bins per stack high so a total of 6 x 240ltr bin floor spaces or 60 x 240ltr bins if stacked in groups of 10 high. To fill this to maximum capacity in this way though, all lids, axles, pins and wheels for each stack would need to be placed inside the top bin of each stack, not on pallets or in crates separate.
• Can carry 2 x 240ltr bins in the rear tub if only for a very short number of jobs

XW77MZ HINO GH COMPACTOR (PC Truck – MR License)  ( TOU479 old registration number)

• Has a hook on the front of the compactor body
• Can carry 1 x 240ltr bin only
• Has a bale lifter on the rear bin lifter
• Can carry 2 x 240ltr bins in the rear tub if only for a very short number of jobs

1KE6SV ISUZU FRR 550 COMPACTOR (DD0 Truck – MR License)

• Has sealed box between the cab and the compactor body that can fit 2 x 240ltr bins inside
• Can carry 2 x 240ltr bins in the rear tub if only for a very short number of jobs

WOV731 IVECO 2350G COMPACTOR (DD1 Truck – MR License)

• Has 2 sealed side boxes under the compactor body
• Can carry 2 x 240ltr bins inside
• Can carry 2 x 240ltr bins in the rear tub if only for a very short number of jobs

1EH2AZ IVECO 2350G TRAY TRUCK (Delivery Truck – MR License)

• The tray is 2.4mtrs wide x 5.4mtrs long but has a crane on one side and a 1 Tonne capacity hydraulic tailgate lifter on the rear.
• Can carry 8.5 pallet spaces as the crane takes up half of a pallet space on one side
• Can carry at least 4 x 240ltr bin floor spaces wide and at least 7 x 240ltr bin floor spaces deep and at least 10 bins per stack high so a total of 28 x 240ltr bin floor spaces or 280 x 240ltr bins if stacked in groups of 10 high. To fill this to maximum capacity in this way though, all lids, axles, pins and wheels for each stack would need to be placed inside the top bin of each stack, not on pallets or in crates separate.

1PM1ZG IVECO DAILY 50C TRAY TRUCK (KC Driver 1 Truck – Car License)

• The tray is 2.1mtrs wide x 4.1mtrs long but has a 1 Tonne capacity hydraulic tailgate lifter on the rear.
• Can carry 3.4 pallet spaces as the tray is not wide enough to put 2 pallets side by side
• Can carry at least 3 x 240ltr bin floor spaces wide and at least 5 x 240ltr bin floor spaces deep and at least 10 bins per stack high so a total of 15 x 240ltr bin floor spaces or 150 x 240ltr bins if stacked in groups of 10 high. To fill this to maximum capacity in this way though, all lids, axles, pins and wheels for each stack would need to be placed inside the top bin of each stack, not on pallets or in crates separate.
• The Maximum Load Weight Capacity is 2500kg

1IP9EW RENAULT KANGOO VAN (Delivery Van – Car License)

• The van is 1.218mtrs wide between the wheel arches x 1.476mtrs long and 1.251mtrs high to the roof from the floor.
• Can carry 1 pallet space but the pallet must be less than 1.1mtrs high.
• Can carry at least 2 x 240ltr bin floor spaces wide and at least 2 x 240ltr bin floor spaces deep and at least 1 bins per stack high so a total of 4 x 240ltr bin floor spaces, however if in stacks, the bins could be laid down and more would fit. Potentially 2 – 4 stacks of 3 x 240ltr bins in each stack.
• The Maximum Load Weight Capacity is 540kg

 RSW089 VOLVO FL6 COMPACTOR (GW/CM Truck – MR License) (Permanently Off the Road)

• Has tray between cab and compactor
• Can carry at least 3 x 240ltr bin floor spaces wide and at least 2 x 240ltr bin floor spaces deep and at least 10 bins per stack high so a total of 6 x 240ltr bin floor spaces or 60 x 240ltr bins if stacked in groups of 10 high.
