The drivers and the office all need to know the parts of the truck so they can communicate effectively, and relay information accurately.

The bin lifter is at the back. It lifts the bins and tips their content into the hopper.

The hopper is the big bowl on the back that the content empties into.

The wall that goes up and down is the pack blade. When it goes up it packs the waste into the body.

The flap at the bottom of the pack blade is the sweep blade. It sweeps the contents from the hopper up into the body.

The wall inside the body is the eject wall. It allows the content to pack against it and when the truck is emptied it ejects the content from the body.

To eject the content, the rear door is raised. The rear door contains the pack and sweep blades.

On 1EP6YH there is a “tailgate” loader just like the tray trucks have, but it is on the side and allows access to the bin storage area so the drivers don’t have to lift the bins manually in and out.
